The Apunkalyptic Suit is a unique design by Jerad Marantz specifically for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The Family Business Suit is based off of the Legacy comic run where Aaron Davis (The Prowler) wore an iteration of the Iron Spider suit and led The Sinister Six. The Upgraded Suit is what Miles will begin the game with, and is an original design by Insomniac.
Collectibles, photo opportunities, and rather basic street crimes are still here and, despite having a few slightly more interesting quirks this time around, they only very occasionally excite. You’ll regularly be stopping the same getaways with the same few button presses (the button-mashing from previous games is mercifully largely gone) or stopping a break-in by battering the same few goons. This time the superheroes must face two primary villains – Kraven the Hunter and Venom. Of course, a hero is nothing without its villains, and Spider-Man’s rogues gallery is almost unparalleled. Outside of the likes of Venom, Kraven, and Lizard seen in the trailers, Insomniac has kept many more cards hidden up its sleeve. I won’t even hint at any of these except to say that Spider-Man 2 opens with a bang, offering up a sense of scale not previously seen in the series. It’s an adrenaline-fuelled reintroduction to the series that tests how well you remember the combat, as well as providing a few new tricks. It’s also the start of one of the new side-story villain threads that are optional, and while those don’t offer anything overly new in terms of gameplay, they do add valuable extra scraps of story.
Peter goes to take down the lizard himself, and succeeds, but Miles is captured by Hunters, leading Peter to go to save him and vow to kill Kraven the Hunter. After this hunter base, players shift to playing as Miles Morales as he tries to track down priceless artifacts from the local jazz museum. The middle section of the game is filled with many similar side quests, which help the player take a break after very tense moments. Following this mission, one of the most enjoyable missions of the game occurs. Despite the disappointment, it’s unlikely that any DLC for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 would’ve been very exciting. The game introduces exciting new abilities and traversal options like Symbiote Surge and Web Wings.

The Life Story Suit debuts from the titular Life Story comic run, where Peter and Miles age in real time. When Miles arrives in the story, he and Peter head into space to fight Venom, and thus this suit was born.
That being said, I can’t help but have hoped for a few more flashes of Gotham City to make their way into New York. Obviously, what you take away from the story and its diverse cast of characters will be unique to you. On the surface, it’s another thrilling superhero story packed full of surprises, cameos, and Easter eggs – but there are deeper meanings to be found here, too.

Miles must find a way to help his friend while handling Kraven and the Lizard, with all of New York City’s fate at stake.
Patch 7 fixes a crash that could occur when minimizing the game application. Delilah was originally intended to debut in Across the Spider-Verse, however she ultimately never appears in the movie. Her presence in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 seems to be setting up her appearance in the third movie, Beyond the Spider-Verse.
